San Trade Limited

Established in 1993, San Trade Limited is one of the first manufacturers and exporters of handmade products in Bangladesh. San Trade was founded by Golam Ahsan with the vision to launch a company that would create jobs for vulnerable population, mainly women in rural Bangladesh, and that would also promote the cultural heritage of our country through crafts that are deeply rooted in local traditions and lifestyles.

San Trade focuses primarily on basketry and rugs made with natural materials such as seagrass, date leaf, jute, etc. Our manufacturing is conducted in Nilphamari where we employ hundreds of women to make products including but not limited to laundry baskets, potholders, kitchen and dining storage, rugs and bags. Our headquarters are located in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, where our senior leadership, marketing, finance, commercial and merchandising teams are housed.

San Trade utilizes a partnership approach with our buyers and together with them, we innovate designs to meet the current trends and needs around the world. Our strength is in the quality of our products, our ethical business practices and the hard work employees.
